Characters of Jade
This section is dedicated to the many Characters that are a part of Jade's success and life. This includes major non-player characters and beings as well as the few player characters that participate in making Jade what it is now.
NPCS:
Aldian Karakus: A human wizard considered to be beyond his time for his alchemy abilities. He also resides on the Council of Order of the Golden Sash. He is the fourth most recent member and the youngest to be accepted in the Tower of Golds history. It is thought that he may one day take on the wizards challenge and become leader of the council. Yet, that is years away.
Commander Gundac: An orc of incredible leadership standards according to orc tradition and history. He is considered the most intelligent of his kind and
valued by the king of the orcankind. He is the leader of the Ugluke Stronghold north of the Mountain Dwarven city of Durak. He is said to have slaughtered some one hundred fifty plus dwarves in his years of training and moving up the ranks. No easy feat by dwarven standards either.
Darlantan: Unknown last name. Is the leader of the Second World Library and considered a revered son of OmnuS. Currently, he is the worlds best scribe and is working to understand the worlds new occurrences. The Jade Tree is his primary learning focus and he strives to understand its goals and record them. He may be the sole contact to OmnuS.
Deritis Forsburg: An old human wizard who is second in command at the Tower of Glass and Order of the Transparent Sash. Deritis is considered the sole holder of knowledge of Time Influx Magic. He is also the Towers historian. Currently, he is studying the mathematics of the current gating situation beginning on the world.
Gale Tuftdung: An ill forgotten dwarf of limitless ability to steal. Some say that his half gnome and uses the his skinnier self to his advantage. Also from the town of Blundon, Gale has pushed himself to be accepted, however, most think is dark for a dwarf and has been shunned. This new darkness festers within him and may lead to something a bit more evil.
General Corpus Randak: A minotaur of reknowned abilities as a warrior. Helped the Hill Dwarves in the Clan Wars and is revered by many of the dwarven kind.
Yet, his time is long passed and many fail to remember his name. Currently, he is the general of a mishap army. His leadership was more a mistake after his own general and long time friend passed into RantoRs hands. Randak resides in Ka Mone when not working for the militia.
Gossif Tamary: Leader of the Council for the Tower of Gold and Order of the Golden Sash. He is the oldest known expert on Battle Magic on Jade. Gossif, however, is old and considered a bit senile. For his laughter is a cackle and his mind seems to wander more than focus on the tasks at hand. It is why the council meetings may last days. Yet, he is still an information resource and will teach skills unknown to the most powerful on Jade.
Grand Druid Luthian Palmleaf: An elven druid of esteemed powers and Grand Druid of the Ashinti Forest regions. His soul purpose is relieve the forest of the troubling giants to south. Yet, the giants persist and three generations of elven druids have failed to succeed at this. He persists that life will balance in the south, yet a new magic growing there prevents his attempts.
Jessimon Thyme: Infamous magic user that suppossedly created the orders of magic. He is long dead, but his spirit remains in the Towers themselves. His first feat turned out to be training various persons in the new art he had learned. The magical weave was verdant and uncontrolled then. Later, he created the Tower of Glass, now on the continent of Quinron (once known as Quinalt before it split.) There is also knowledge that Jessimon created seven artifacts of power he took from the bowels of the earth. One, lives still, the other six have yet to be found.
Ka Mone: The legendary last son and Prince of the Mountain Dwarves. He left his home cause of his desire to be under the sky and for diplomacy he was unwilling to accept. Soon, the dwarf led a group away from the mountains to an area in the
hills. Now, Hill Dwarves, his kind changed trading forever. However, in his attempt to build the greatest dwarven city ever, a cataclysm took the world and wracked it of every known place the world had known. What was one continent became two. His great city now a coastal city, he decided to let humans into his dream and help build a port worthy of dwarves. Now, years later, an old cackling dwarf, he lives in this city and still supports the humans within. He has given
the thrown to a son, who is now king.
Kadolme: Is a young elven child who was thought to be conceived more than born. He spends his life running from evils that try to pursue and kill him. For knowledge has passed to the side of evil that this is a son of MeoS and the future heroin of Ashinti. The elves believe this not and his strange fascination with metals, rock, and the ground has him defined as an outsider.
King Falitus Jeorge: Current King of the Jeorgian Isle region south of Quinron. He is the current king of a long line of Jeorges that have ruled the land. His lone goal is solve the puzzle plaguing the Forest of the Four Kings. For the one who completes it will ise to become a great king as the prophecies say. Currently, he has three daughters and is working on a fourth child in hopes that a son will be born to rule the land.
Laurel (Laurellinka) Oakstem: Laurel is an elven woman with some power in the clerical arts. However, her past suggests she may have been a paladin of some fiefdom related to her home. She is stong willed and temperamental. Her pride and joy is her horse Whiteshade.
Lord of Smoke: No one is willing to speak his true name. For it is understood that he may hear it from afar and kill the one who spoke it. The Lord of Smoke is a lich or an undead wizard of immense power. His patience is unyielding and he appears to aspire godhood since his spirit has achieved immortal life. It is said that he was once Jessimon Thyme?s prodigy, yet this information has been lost to the cataclysm. Now, he resides on the continent of Zoria and is in charge of the Tower of Smoke and the Order that rules it. Yet, none in the school and order have seen him. He now sends his minions to conquer various lands and certain peoples that may oppose him.
Rant Rockhelm: Rant is a dwarf similarly named to his god RantoR and is a town favorite in his home of Blundon. He is an aspiring cleric of solid faith and been a good friend of Penn Loderunner all his life. He strives to become the greatest healer of Hill Dwarven society and to open his own herbalist shop in Blundon.
Uth Bengal: Uth is a warrior of some experience with random thinking. He arrived on Jade via a gate and a gate that has never been seen on any Jade location in the world. Many think he fell from the sky and landed upon Jade for some heroic purpose. This remains to be seen.
PCS:
Balitar: An upcoming young half orc. He resides in the Ugluke stronghold and is a shaaman of some power, although he is fairly young. He seems to have a healing power about him that many shaamans hope to possess. He isn't well liked by those around him because of his half blood. His father was a well respected orc in the stronghold. His mother was human who died during Balitar's birth.
Briga Dureka: A sailor of a different breed. He is well read and well schooled, but not lacking in the skill and determination necessary to live his chosen life. For the sea lives in his blood and so it shall be engraved in his heart.
Fioniel: A promising young half-elf druidess charged with protecting a beautiful portion of the southern Ashinti forest. She cherishes the lushness of her forest home, the great diversity of flourishing life, and she distrusts the singleminded starkness of form and function in the cities. Her life's work is to serve her forest, the Grand Druid, and her art to the best of her ability, and she is more than willing to lay down her life in such service, if need be. It is not bravery, or brashness, or thoughts of glory that drive her, but a quiet and humble sense of duty.
Gundar: A gruff, yet kind dwarf on a mission of revenge for the death of his parents at the hands of goblins. He is derailed from his mission in order to help out those in need, only the gods know if he will ever return to his vengeance.
Penn Loderunner: A strong willed dwarf who grew up in Blundon. He is considered a leader amoung his fellows because of his prowess in battle and his aparent wisdom and intellegence. Though, lately, his smarts seem to be lacking. He attributes it to the cursed black bracelet upon his wrist. His sole goal is to get it removed as of late. Penn now is a Private in a secret militia and has no current residence.
Quinnan Beyrdane: The grandson of a great wizard, Quinnan wishes to do his grandfather proud by following in his footsteps. He has much to learn but for now he'll settle for getting a better grasp on the difference between illusion and reality.
