The
red crescent society had weekly meeting and lecture every Friday afternoon at
4.00pm.
The office bearers are as follows:
Head section leader : Catherine Choo Hong
Secretary
: Chiew Poh Siong
Treasurer
: Tang Teong Kuok
The number of member is 50, the majority being girls. The members are divided
into five sections namely Penguin, Pigeon, Nightingale, Came and Dragon with
about 10 members in each section.
The Section Leaders are:
1. Chang Pang Pang
2. Wong Choo Eng
3. Khing Teck Kwong
4. Lau choo Eng
5. Chew Tung Leh
Achivements:
1. 3rd in Inter-house sports day meet
2. 3rd in flag selling competition
3. 2nd in First Aid Competition
4. Speech Competition :
a) Miss Eileen Empiong ( 1st in Bahasa Malaysia section )
b) Miss Catherine Choo ( 3rd in English Section )
c) Miss Ong Eng ( 3rd in Chinese section )
The New office bearers were elected for the year (1977-1978) during our Annual
General Meeting on 15th of July.

METHODIST
The
Methodist Red Crescent Society have a long history. It had been around since the
formation of Malaysia which is in the year 1963, but it was inactive the year
after. The unit was revived at the year 1967 and had become the oldest Red
Crescent Youth Unit in Sibu.
