When the moon comes over the mountain,

Once again we shall 'neath the mountain,
Through the rose-colored valley we knew.
Each day is gray and dreary,

my companion,
through good times and bad

my buddy,
through happy and sad,
beside me you stand,
beside me you walk,
you're there to listen,

with happiness,

I know you'll be there, throughout the years!
There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart;
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part.
A hug's a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through,
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you 'cause you're you.
Hugs are meant for anyone
For whom we really care,
From your grandma to your neighbor,
Or a cuddly teddy bear.
A hug is an amazing thing -
It's just the perfect way
To show the love we're feeling
But can't find the words to say.
It's funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good;
In every place and language,
It's always understood.
And hugs don't need new equipment,
Special batteries or parts -
Just open up your arms
And open up your hearts.
Death of an Innocent
I went to a party, Mum, I remembered what you
said.
You told me not to drink, Mum, so I drank coke
instead.
I really felt proud inside, Mum, the way you said
I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mum, even though the
others said I should.
I know I did the right thing, Mum, I know you are
always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mum, as everyone
is driving out of sight.
As I got into my car, Mum, I knew I'd get home in
one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible
and sweet.
I started to drive away, Mum, but as I pulled out
into the road,
the other car didn't see me, Mum, and hit me like
a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, Mum, I hear the
policeman say,
the other guy is drunk, Mum, and now I'm the one
who will pay.
I'm lying here dying, Mum. I wish you'd get here
soon.
How could this happen to me, Mum? My life just
burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mum, and most of it
is mine.
I hear the paramedic say, Mum, I'll die in a short
time.
I just wanted to tell you, Mum, I swear I didn't
drink.
It was the others, Mum. The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank and I will die.
Why do people drink, Mum? It can ruin your whole
life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a
knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mum, and I don't
think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare.
Tell my brother not to cry, Mum. Tell Daddy to be
brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mum, put "Daddy's Girl"
on my grave
Someone should have told him, Mum, not to drink
and drive.
If only they had told him, Mum, I would still be
alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mum. I'm becoming
very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mum. When I needed you,
you were always there.
I have one last question, Mum, before I say good
bye.
I didn't drink and drive, so why am I the one to
die?
If I could catch a rainbow.....
I would do it just for you
And share with you it's beauty
On the days you're feeling blue...
If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own
A place to find serenity
A place to be alone
If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea
But all these things I'm finding are
Impossible for me,
I cannot build a mountain of catch a rainbow fair
But let me be what I know best,
A friend that's always there.

A box of gold,

The box is priceless

Starlit Night
The night is so bright,
With a starlit sky,
I sit and think,
As time passes by,
Oh starry night,
With a moonlit sky,
Take me away,
And tell me why,
Give me a reason,
For love's end,

For why I lost a friend,
I sit and think,
All night long,
About the things,
That went wrong,
Starlit sky,

I sought my soul
But my soul I could not see
I sought my God
But my god eluded me
I sought my brother
And I found all three
Paint Brush
I keep my paint bush with me
Wherever I may go,
In case I need to cover up
So the real me doesn't show.
I'm so afraid to show you me,
Afraid of what you'll do - that
You might laugh or say mean things.
I'm afraid I might lose you.
I'd like to remove all my paint coats
To show you the real, true me,
But I want you to try and understand,
I need you to accept what you see.
So if you'll be patient and close your eyes,
I'll strip off all my coats real slow.
Please understand how much it hurts
To let the real me show.
Now my coats are all stripped off.
I feel naked, bare and cold,
And if you still love me with all that you see,
You are my friend, pure as gold.
I need to save my paint brush, though,
And hold it in my hand,
I want to keep it handy
In case in case somebody doesn't understand.
So please protect me, my dear friend
And thanks for loving me true,
But please let me keep my paint brush with me
Until I love me, too.
Please Hear What I'm Not Saying
Don't be fooled by me.
Don't be fooled by the face I wear.
For I wear a mask, a thousand masks,
masks I'm afraid to take off,
and none of them is me.
Pretending is an art that is second nature to me,
but don't be fooled.
For God's sake don't be fooled.
I give you the impression that I'm secure,
and confidence is my name and coolness is my game,
that the water's calm and I'm in command,
and that I need no one.
But don't believe me.
My surface may seem smooth but my surface
is my mask, ever-varying and ever-concealing.
Beneath lies no complacence.
Beneath lies confusion and fear and aloneness.
But I hide this. I don't want anybody to know it.
I panic at the thought of my weakness and fear
being exposed.
That's why I frantically create a mask to hide
behind, a nonchalant sophisticated facade, to help
me pretend, to shield me from the glance that
knows. But such a glance is precisely my
salvation. My only hope, and I know it. That is,
if it's followed by acceptance, if it's followed
by love.
It's the only thing that can liberate me from
myself, from my own self-built prison walls,
from the barriers I so painstakingly erect.
It's the only thing that will assure me of what I
can't assure myself, that I'm really worth
something. I don't like to hide. I don't like to
play superficial phony games. I want to stop
playing them. I want to be genuine and
spontaneous and me, but you've got to help me.
You've got to hold out your hand even when it's
the last thing I seem to want. Only you can wipe
away from my eyes the bland stare of breathing
dead. Only you can call me into aliveness. Each
time you're kind and gentle and encouraging,
each time you try to understand because you really
care, my heart begins to grow wings, very small
wings, very feeble wings, but wings!
With your power to touch me into feeling you can
breathe life into me. I want you to know that.
Who am I, you may wonder.
I am someone you know very well.
For I am every man you meet,
and I am every woman you meet.

What is love?
No word can define it,
Its something so great,
only God could design it,
Yes, love is beyond,
What man can define,
For love is immortal,
And God's gift is divine...
As distinctive as night and day,
As different as moon and sun.
Though on opposite sides,
They always move as one.
The sun warms the day,
The moon illuminates the night.
The sun is the fire in the sky,
And after dusk, the moon reflects its light.
A good friend is someone
to do nothing much with
and find "nothing much" so much fun.
A good friend is talking and talking
about everything under the sun.
A good friend is someone who really is glad
when you've worked for and won a success.
Someone you don't have to be on your guard with
or be what you aren't to impress.
A good friend is so many wonderful someones
all mixed in a marvelous blend
Of memory making, of giving and taking,
a "now and forever" Good Friend.
May our friendship last forever;
May I sail upon your sea.
May we go through life together;
May there always be a "we."
May I be your endless sky;
May you breathe my gentle air.
May you never wonder why
Each time you look for me, I'm there.
May we be for each a smile
Like the warm, life-giving sun;
Yet when we're in pain awhile,
May our suffering be one.
May we share our special days,
The happiness of one for two;
And if we must go separate ways,
Let my love remain with you.

To listen and help you through,

A yellow leaf floats,
Carefreely through the blue sky,
It goes with the breeze.

Just isn't what it seems.

A friend is a precious gift to be
cherished and nurtured.
A friend is a treasure beyong worth.

Angel's Tears
The mysteries of nature,
The sun rays searching spied
The drops of dew so crystal clear
Like diamonds glorified.
An angel must have cried last night,
Tears falling from the sky
Must have seeped down through the stars
In heaven, way up high.
Do angels cry the drops of dew
That grace the early morn,
Then scamper off to disappear
When dawn's first light is born?
Perhaps that dawn, while creeping forth
Upon the secrets bold...
Could tell us if those secret drops
Were touched by wands of gold.
I could sail the waters of all the world
Battle the wild and blue
But never I'd find a friend to love
Like the friend I've found in you!
I could walk down the road of the world
And knock on doors forever
And never I'd find a friend like you -

A disappointment,
When you let somebody down,
It feels terrible.
A small watefall,
A seven-colored rainbow,
Lighten up my heart.
The eternal light,
Always shines within your heart,
Moods dim or fuel it.
A bright, puffy cloud,
Floating freely in the sky,
Such freedom I'd like.
Wings of my angel,
My angel means much to me,
Sweet, kind and gentle.
Drifting far away,
Far apart we all go now,
Always keep in touch.
Leaving those behind,
Leaving friends behind is hard,
Try hard to bear it.
A little bird flies,

The blue flower blooms,
It's soft petals are lovely,
They wiil fall and wilt.
Snowflakes fall gently,
Their designs are beautiful,
