Campaign Resources We
are delighted that you are interested in our PREY For Us campaign. We have
worked for over two years to build a solid and effective campaign for PREY.
We have been heard and are respected for our innovative and professional
initiatives. We have been guided by several general principles as our campaign
has moved along. Please take a moment to look over them and feel free to
contact
us if you have any questions.
1.
Our
campaign has always emphasized the 4 "P"s whenever we represent PREY, whether
in letters, e-mails, phone calls, or personal interviews. These 4 guiding
principles are: Professionalism,
Persistence,
Politeness,
and Passion.
Working together these 4 words give us the strongest and most effective
tools we can use as we approach the media and the networks. The hard work
of establishing ourselves is done. We are recognized and we do speak with
a voice that is heard and acknowledged. Thus, we want to make sure that
we represent PREY and its many fans in such a way that sponsors and network
executives will see the tremendous potential of PREY. Our one goal is to
see PREY picked up by another network for a second season. We don't help
PREY by sharing negative comments about networks, executives, or programming
choices. Let's use our energy to showcase the positive aspects of PREY
and leave the rest, if we must, for our e-mails to each other.
Official
Campaign Coordinators
2. To ensure that we are all working in a coordinated manner, please share your ideas and suggestions with us so we can help support the great ideas you conceive. Consistency is important in maintaining a professional image. 3. Although the message board and other forms of communication often show our e-mail addy, please do not share other information without the permission of the person it affects, whether they are a fan or a PREY production person. 4. Along with that, please do not re-post information, comments, or ideas that someone has posted, or use it in letters etc, without their permission. You may use anything posted or published on this site though. 5. Always make it clear that you speak for the "PREY For Us" campaign, not the network, producers, cast, or creator. To insure that we are not creating any problems for the studio or PREY production people, we need to run any requests for "official" PREY interviews by us so we can pass them on to the appropriate person. Of course, please feel free to speak with the media about our campaign and its efforts- that's our baby! 6. Always follow up with a thank you to media or business people who support our efforts. 7. In a world used to instant gratification, it is important to remember that our efforts will most likely need to continue for some time. It often takes years for a program to go from idea to pilot and it might take that long for PREY to be re-marketed to another network. We are not failing just because we are not winning instantly. Lots of groups start campaigns, not many continue them. Remember, water wears away rock, not by its strength, but by its persistence! 8. Our collective ideas produce wonders. Please continue to share suggestions and ideas with us for future campaign strategies, media opportunities, etc. Please feel free to e-mail us at anytime with concerns, questions, comments, or suggestions. Together we are strong and this collective strength is the lifeline for PREY. Writing Letters We are sending letters on a regular basis to Peter Roth at Warner Brothers Television, and periodically to executives at all the networks, and to past PREY sponsors. These letters can be a stand alone letter of support or can reference specific PREY milestones. Below you will find links to resources to help you with your letter. Sample
