This was done on a day that was obviously not
one of my better ones. I was not feeling very good and it
shows not only in the subject but in the style as well.
The date was February 2000 and the entire school was in
portables while the new building was being built. Big
dump trucks and delivery trucks rumbled in and out all
through the day and at the end of the day there was a
fine layer of red dust on everything. It was very hard
going in and out of the portables for restroom breaks and
to go to the office which was set up in the gym. We even
had to bring our lunches back to the room because the
cafeteria was being renovated at the same time. From the
looks of me it doesn't look like I'd make it but I did.
Our new building has been completed for a couple of years
now and we are all enjoying the wonderful facilities. The
Smile is back on my face and the Whistle is
on my lips!
