Classroom Management

One of the most important aspects of classroom management, and hardest to maintain, is communication with the parents. Many students aren't as tempted to "mess around" when they know you have communication with mom and dad. One of the easiest ways I had of maintaining that communication is with a simple postcard.


To The Parents of
As of this week, is not passing my mathematics class. I feel is it due to the following factors:
many recent absences (excused or unexcused)
not doing homework
not paying attention during lessons
not seeking my help when needed

When students chose to be disruptive in my classroom, I have many ways of dealing with these situations. Not all discipline problems called for the same discipline. Two of the methods I can showcase here are refocusing and detention:

Please FILL this page with an essay that addresses these 3 questions: What did I do to get put out here? Why was Mrs. Rust correct in placing me out here? What am I going to do in the future to prevent this? This paper is your ticket back into my classroom, please take this seriously. If I don't feel what is written answers the questions appropriately, you will not be allowed back into my class.
