The Communication Plan

The project team will communicate primarily over two mediums. The first medium decided upon for team communication was e-mail. This will be facilitated using a UMBC-sponsored “listproc” e-mail alias, which has been set up by one of the project team members. This alias was set up specifically for this project, and will allow the project team members to easily distribute messages to all members simultaneously. This will enhance the project team’s efficiency by eliminating errors such as sending email to incorrect addresses, and will ensure that each team member receives current project information.

The second medium that will be utilized is group meetings. These meetings will be conducted primarily during the after-class group time provided by Professor Richburg. The project team plans to utilize any and all in-class meeting time afforded it.

In the event the project team finds that it is behind schedule, or that additional face-to-face meetings are necessary, these meetings will be scheduled as required. Due to conflicting schedules, and the difficulty in gathering the project team at a mutually convenient time, the team will attempt to schedule any additional meetings prior to or following class.
