FUN FACTS Did You Know? Fun Facts About Atlantis We're all familiar with the story of Atlantis, but sometimes it's difficult to tell the facts from the myths. According to the myth, the City of Atlantis sunk slowly into the ocean, until it's citizens developed webbed feet and hands, gils, and the ability to breathe under water. Is this even possible? According to well known evolutionaty biologist Dr. Emil Stoane, the answer is "no." Stoane says, "the processess of evolution neccessary to create such signifigant changes in human physiology would take hundreds of thousands of years to occur, and all our available information suggests that Atlantis sunk in no more than several hundred." This poses a perplexing question; if evolution was not the cause of these amazing physical changes in the Atlanteans, then what was? Dr. Stoane believes the answer is simple; interbreeding between humans and dolphins. "While this may sound ridiculous to the non-scientist," explains Dr. Stoane, "it is in fact quite possible. Remember the dolphin is not a fish, rather it is a mammal, just as humans are. Additionaly, dolphins are the most intelligent of all animals, even more so than our closest ancestors the apes, and thus would provide an ideal companion and sexual partner to our lost friends in Atlantis." For instance, you probably thought it was a sculpture, right? WRONG! Mt. Rushmore is actually the fossilized remains of an ancient race of Giant Presidents. These Giant Presidents roamed the earth during the time of the dinosaurs. Of course back then, dinosaurs could talk. It's fun to think back and imagine the conversations these Giant Presidents must have had with their dinosaur pals.
