2004: Promise shown, but unfulfilled September 13, 2004 LOWELL- The big plans by the founders of the Lowell Football League never quite panned out. Only two league games were held (The Crazy 98, faced with injuries and unavailability of players, never even got to play once.) But the idea has merit and there is a good chance that the Lowell Football League will be revisited in 2005, perhaps in a modified format. For now, most of the league's players can look forward to the 4th installment of the legendary Big Game between the Mister Cyrs and Greg-Angel Yackadoodles, to be held in conjunction with the 2004 Halloween Foosball Tournament on October 30th, 2004.
