| If I Die Tomorrow
(a bit of a "Glad Game" list)
If I die tomorrow.....
- I leave with a good relationship with my brothers.
- I got to meet the two best people in the world: my parents—and have them in my life for over 30 years, and in my heart as I died.
- I know all of my grown nephews have become fine young men, and Nick is becoming a fine young gentlemen.
- I got to meet and know the life partners of two of those nephews—and know they each made a good choice.
- I am secure in knowing that our line of Simmonses will continue—I got to meet the next next generation, Brandon and, after waiting 4½ years, I finally got to meet my nephew Bobby's son, who came to us through a long-sought adoption.
- I have had great friends, some till the end.
- I reconnected with friends and met new friends on the Internet, especially Facebook. I enjoyed the support and getting glimpses of others' lives.
- Although I never was romantically loved, I know I was capable of great passion and caring. I could have loved romantically.
- I had some great adventures.
- I had some misadventures—and survived them, and can look back with amazement that I got as far as I did.
- The apex of my illustrious career wasn't as a Library Assistant—it was my last full-time job, as it should have been, where I was believed in and given great responsibilities. I also had positions that had better pay.
