Song To My Living Soul

by Nicholas Gene Carter (yes, THE Nick Carter)

Well, looks like Nick is a poet. It's actually a very good poem and gives us an insight past his "boy scout" image. Hmm. . . doesn't rhyme though. . . And I know this is his and not some imposters because I can recognize his handwriting. And if it's just some insane fan who can perfectly mimick his handwriting and we've all been fooled, then . . . well, I'll be damned.

If I could sell

My soul to the devil

I'm sure I would

In exchange for a longer life.

Just one day more

If I could I'm sure I would.

Some people say

and they're not wrong

that life is bitter sweet

a little happiness

and a lot of pain

Devil i don't care

let me taste a little more of life

even if the day will be sad.

Devil i don't care

give me more life

a little more

and in exchange

I'll give you my precious soul.

i want to keep on feeling

what life gives me:

wine to get drunk on the rest of my eternety.

Crazy they call me who cares!

crazy to gasp life to sofocate death.
