March Mammals!!

Exciting action in round 1! As the tourney progresses, who will emerge as the odds on favorite to be king of all the animals?? Now for round 2!

Mammals vs. Reptiles!

Polar Bear

vs.
Wolverine

Three years. Three long years. That's how long the Polar Bear waited for the stars to align... he waited for the animals to gather for a tournament once again... and most of all he waited to have his chance to avenge his embarassing loss to the Wolverine. This match is a rematch of the finals from Hypothetical Animal Tourney the first! Polar bear, on the heels of a solid victory over Grizzly bear, seems poised to exact his revenge! Wolverine on the other hand comes limping into this match, having barely defeated Wild Boar in round 1. The Wolverine has done it before, can the "skunk bear" pull off another upset over the might Polar Bear? I doubt very much that the Polar Bear wants to see that happen...

Gorilla

vs.
Kangaroo

The Gorilla handily defeated the Chimp in round 1 in a squash that was second only to the Raven/Oriole travesty (and it was on par with Wolf/Fox)! Proving once and for all that braun is valued over brain, the Gorilla is ready for his next challenger all the way from Aussie-land! Overcoming a mighty challenge by the Tasmanian Devil, the Kangaroo just barely managed to stave off a stiff challenge from one of his natural predators. Now we get to see the animal equivalent of a Boxer vs. Wrestler match! As we all know from our cartoons, Kangaroos (in addition to sometimes being mistaken for large mice) make excellent boxers. By the same token, throwing a mask on a gorilla will make him a pro wrestling superstar! It's Muhammad Ali vs. Antonio Inoki all over again! Will the powerful punches and kicks from the Kangaroo win the day, or will the Gorilla grab hold of the Kangaroo and... *squich* lights out. Should be a barn burner!!

King Cobra

vs.
Komodo Dragon

The King Cobra's venom proved to be too much for the Anaconda in round 1! However, the Gila Monster's venom was NOT enough to stop the powerful Komodo Dragon! The Cobra has proven that he can take out a larger opponent, but the Dragon has already overcome an opponent with a powerful poison... What will give, the irresistable force, or the immovable object?

Crocodile

vs.
Poison Dart Frog

It's hard to find a larger size disparity than in this matchup! The Crocodile, while Steve Irwin's bitch, proved that it is superior to the Alligator. The Poison Dart Frog already took down a large and vicious animal in the Alligator Snapping Turtle. After having each defeated an Alligator in round 1, who comes out of round 2! The obvious answer would seem to be the Croc... but will the large Crocodile even notice the small frog? Also, one animal expert (degree in Biology/Animal Behavior) has slated the Poison Dart Frog as a possible dark horse candidate to make the finals!! We'll see just how potent that poison is if the Frog becomes a Croc snack...
