March Mammals!!

Exciting action in round 1! As the tourney progresses, who will emerge as the odds on favorite to be king of all the animals?? Now for round 2!

Sea vs. Sky!

Eagle

vs.
Raven

Overcoming the challenge presented by the well trained Falcon, the Eagle may have overcome it's toughest air competition... or perhaps not! In the single biggest squash in the entire tourney, the Raven destroyed the Oriole to such an extent that it received but 1 vote! (thanks, Jammy) The Eagle is much larger and a bird of prey, but the Raven is considered one of the smarter birds, often getting other animals to do it's dirty work. Ravens vs. the Eagles in a battle where Terrell Owens isn't involved! This is a must see.

Penguin

vs.
Vulture

In what has to be considered a first round upset, the plucky penguin just barely got by the larger and stronger Ostrich. Now it's attention is turned towards the Vulture, fresh from the thrashing it dished out on the wise old owl. The Penguin's greatest asset is it's plucky intelligence... but the Vulture has already proven that it can take down a smart bird! Will the vulture be feasting on a tuxedo wearing carcass? Or will the penguin make this the vulture's turn to cry ice cubes?

Shark

vs.
Electric Eel

Getting the better of his natural enemy the Dolphin, shark has to seem in a strong position to take the Sea bracket right now. The 20 foot monster's challenge this time out is the ever dangerous electric eel! Taking down the Stingray in round 1, the Eel will be relying on it's devastating electric charge (did we mention it can kill a horse?) Electricity conducts water, but will the water bracket conduct the Electric Eel? Not if Jaws can help it...

Orca

vs.
Squid

Stemming off a late and ultimately futile comeback from the Sperm Whale, the Orca has been labeled Joe from the Julio site's favorite to take the entire tourney! The 32' 18,000 lbs. monster employs hunting techniques similar to Lions or wolves, and eat seals, squids, sea turtles, and even blue whales. Yes, that's right... we said it eats Squids. Slipping by the Octopus last round, the Squid is hoping to pull a March upset... The plus side is that the Colossal Squid can reach well over 18 meters in length... the bad news is that the only evidence we've ever discovered of them existed in the bellies of the Orca's vanquished first round opponent the Sperm Whale. Well, this is why we play the matches! It's Shamu the terrible vs. Cinderella Squid!

Check out the other brackets! Wild Canids vs. Misc, Cats vs. Dogs, and Reptiles vs. Mammals Care to weigh in? Send in your vote and let your voice be heard!
