Fantastic prize up for grabs!

This was your chance to win a fantastic prize worth up to the value of £100. This clearly included the figure zero.

My original idea was to give away chunks of genuine Cheddar cheese, but I didn't think they would travel in the post too well. Instead, you had the chance of winning a genuine Real Radio balloon. How fantastic a prize is that?

• First prize - a Real Radio balloon and a Kit Kat Chunky
• Runner up prize - a Chunky Kit Kat

What you had to do

It was all very simple. All you had to do is compose a limerick or haiku about Elizabeth from Cheddar. Failing that, just write something funny. It doesn't even have to rhyme. Oh alright then, it doesn't even have to be funny. Just something. Anything!

You could send your entry to cheddar@mellor123.freeuk.com - the closing date was December 7th 2002. You might have heard details of the winning entry on the Nick Abbot show on Real Radio in the following week if I can persuade the phone-ops to let me on. Unfortunately it's not very likely now, since Nick is no longer on the air.

Results

The competition has since ended. The results will be up here shortly (I'm just keeping you all in suspense) - in the mean time if the three entrants (and thus winners) can look forward to receiving something in the post.
