What's Happening this Month

Kari had her baby!! An hour after getting home from church, her water broke, and 3 hours later William Benjamin was brought into this world. The youth group is very excited about it's newest member. As you can see from the picture at left that Kari is a kid at heart and is sure to make an awesome mom. We had our annual end of the year picnic May 24, at the lakefront. Kari couldn't be there, but we still had fun. Many parents volunteered to cook and chaparone. Thank you parents! Eric led us in Communion Service near the shore and good times were had by all! Last Instalment So close to spring, I can feel it! The 10th-12th of March was a time looked forward to by many. It was the weekend of UMYs! This year Kari adopted Chrystal, Miles, Nathan, and Me for the weekend. We all piled into her new white Dodge Grand Caravan and headed South to St. Cloud. UMYs was completely packed this year. The Holiday Inn Convention Center held a population of 1,200 United Methodist Youth. The music for the weekend was provided by Tim Lemmins. He is a "one man music machine". His songs were fun and inspirational. The group even bought one of his CDs for the youth room. Our speaker was outstanding! His name was Greg Speck. He knew how to get right at what your heart was feeling. And his anecdotes were hillarious too!
