Youth '99 Highlights - Miles Kastella
Youth '99 was a blast! Even when we were traveling hour after hour on the bus we had fun. The bible study there was the best I've ever been to. Duffy Robbins, the morning bible study leader, was great. His jokes and funny stories made this time fun, but he still got his point across. The mission work we did in Nashville was fun too. We had a great time packing boxes of food for other people. We went through a lot of food helping out there. Then, when we were done we got to sign the wall. Well I better leave something for the others to write about. So long. |
Youth '99 Memories - Hether Roline
On Monday, July, 26 and Tuesday, July 27, the 3rd and 4th days of our trip I spent my time on our misssion project. We went to Second Harvest Food Bank. About 30 of us from our group of 150 from Minnesota were assigned to it. The first day flew by. What we did there is pack food into boxes to be shipped to families in need. That night we went to the Nashville YMCA to go swimming. It was pretty fun plus a nice way to cooloff. Tuesday didn't go as fast because I think most of us were tired from the day before, but all in all it was nice to volunteer becuase we had a good time, and were doing good things for other people. |
