  • ERMA PRICE
When the Webster County Opry invited Erma Price to join it's roster in June of 1997, the show added a performer who happened to be a singer, a fine musician, and a great lady. A Birch Tree, Missouri native, Erma moved with her husband Otto Price to Marshfield in 1955 after being wed in 1949. One of the first songs that she ever sang at the Opry was "Hello Trouble" and that quickly caught the attention of the Opry board and Opry host Nicholas W. Inman. Erma had a vocal tranquility that few performers had and so she was invited to debut with her fellow stars of the group "Echoes of the Ozarks". When this great vocal ensemble is not appearing at the Opry they can be found traveling the Ozarks presenting their sweet harmonies is so many grateful fans. Echoes of the Ozarks have long been a popular group at the Opry ever since they made their tremendous debut and it is no doubt why the Opry invited Erma to it's prestigious membership roster. In her spare time, Erma can be found playing music, doing church work, or out enjoying the great outdoors. Echoes of the Ozarks just keep honing and adjusting their harmonies and their rich musical blend. Always polite, always courteous is how you would describe Erma Price and it is evident how the audience enjoys her great showmanship by the way they respond when Erma takes presence on the stage. The rooms seems to smile as they display their adoration for this fine, personable lady. Erma Price is a total entertainer who can perform beautifully on stage, and one who can hold the crowd in the palm of her hand the entire time. It's no wonder that she is a favorite at the Opry.
