Quick news item addition - The MOVIEMAKER article is out now  (Thanks Bernard).  In time for Sundance too - very cool.  Check it out now if you are American, otherwise if you are a Brit, we’ll get it in about 2 weeks!

Couple of things today.  One, last night whilst watching a rough cut with Gregory and Elizabeth, Gregory pointed out a huge continuity error, which i hadn’t noticed (what was i, blind?)  After thinking, bugger, for a while, i remembered that i had resolved the error in the second take.  However, when assembling the film we went on the acting, rather than the continuity.  Unfortunately, we’ll have to compromise a bit of quality Jamie Scott acting for a continuity error, such is life!

Second thing - i have noticed that the cast and crew page on some browsers does not line up properly, but on others it does.  I think this is a trade off we’ll have to live with for a while, and admittedly it is quite funny.  You’ll get the joke if you have the problem.

Welcome - we are now situated at www.appleseedlake.co.uk. isn’t that cool!  The ending of the film is now in place and it just rocks, big time!  Mike and I are both very happy with it.  The film in it’s entirety is very snappy at just over 70 mins now, with further chopping just to keep it brisk.  The photo sections work especially well too.

The music will now finally be put in place, after lots of confusion.  We almost have a film.

Well, the news is now in reverse order and odd things have been tidied.  Screening of APPLESEED LAKE to be announced shortly.  No other news at present.  I’m boring!

I guess soon i’m going to have to put this in reverse order, so that it is easier to read the news updates - but not now.  The pictures went into the film yesterday along with most of the voiceovers - apart from those that we cut.  They add so much to the finished film and they are so, so funny.  Especially Nick and Victoria, you guys make me laugh (in a good way).

Check out the editing process page - it now has some writing.

Until next time...

Many thanks to those who have seen the site and spent their 1p a minute to send me an email, telling me what i’ve done wrong (so, that’s all 5 of you then!  Thanks Greg, Neil, Nick, Jamie and Mike)

In answer to your questions Nick, (1) Yes the nose picking was deliberate, (2) You’ll get the video when it’s done, you impatient boy!!!  You’ll just have to keep telling your mates how marvellous you were until they see it, and then they can tell you the truth, and (3) You’re not on the front page because...just because.

I await the CD’s with baited breath Neil and the website just appeared as if by magic!

The voiceovers are shaping the film perfectly.  Today i saw the film almost in it’s entirety, except it was silent and very, very small.  After our brush with death the other day (the suspected hard drive failure - which turned out to be a hard drive that wanted a rest - poor thing!) we decided it would be best to have a video backup, just in case.  It’s looking good.

More pictures up in a few days time, as well as an interview with writer/director Peter Hearn (that’d be me then) as well as (hopefully) Elizabeth Gordon and Gregory Bell, who play Robin and Eddie respectively and Neil Johnson.  Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a few words out of Mike Faraday, our editor too!

I think it’s also about that time when i put out a plea to Dado Jehan - who will be getting this website url along with the other bands to contact me via email.  We are now all big fans, and the website would not be complete without your input.

Oh, and the cast/crew links are fixed so please, cast/crew - send me your updated credits and i’ll post them up.  Cheers bubs!

Right to bed - nighty.  Nick, stop whinging!

In a twist of ‘Can it really happen to us?’ It almost did...Today without much warning one of the hard drives on the computer that we are editing on died.  What a stoke of luck - genius - from Mike, that he had moved the files containing the film from that drive to another this same morning.  Fingers crossed for the rest of post.

Not much else has happened except the ‘Cult of Dado’ seems to be rising.  As Mike would describe the indescribable Dado Jehan’s track ‘Nadalina’,  “It’s what you would get if you crossed a mariachi band with the Oompa loompa’s”  Quite!
