Beloved Isis

Beloved Isis

Though the moon does make the stars swoon,
That silvery speck showers the world with the tiniest shard
Of the most immense, deliciously detailed glasswork.
Which is the essence of the mother, sister, lover, daughter,
The patroness, our goddess, Isis.
She encompasses all, she has been here since the beginning.
She shames the Nile current to a snail's speed.
The beauty of an enchanted gale is dull and lifeless
In comparison to our goddess.
And the magick of Stonehenge at Solstice morn
Is but the smallest spark from her soaring flame.
She fills men's hearts til they burst,
and weaves delicate, vibrant webs of magick all around us.
So strong does she hold our hearts that they spoke,
and do speak of her across continents.
And she is said to be the goddess
of 10,000 names.
