O Diana

O Diana

O Diana, free and wild,
Living among the trees - the life.
Such ferocity, such solitude,
Such strife!
There it is, in nature,
Where you live, among your creatures
That die.
Connected to them,
You feel sorrow, loss unequaled,
And you feel all alone.
Though you live,
When your creatures die,
New life is born.
There is your spirit,
O Diana!
There lies your infinite beauty,
In your love of them.
The care, and guidance
For young, vulnerable things
Waters my eyes.
O Diana,
How precious you are!
