As this site is known for promoting underground Japanese acts, I felt it was time to mention Blood Stain Child. This sophisticated act is quite inventive, but well worth the investment. Their eclectic alchemy incorporates a number of musical elements into their sound. For the release of 'Epsilon' they have employed the amazing Greek female vocalist Sophia who joined them for their 'Fruity beats' EPs. Her nightingale mystic charm reminds me of the late and tragically missed Pay Lee of Seraphim. This lady beast is ready and armed for the battle of the month. Fans of Visions of Atlantis, Xandria, Destrose, Within Temptation, Edenbridge, Battle Beast, Lady Beast, etc. will surely find the precious princess priceless.
Primarily, Blood Stain Child was known in the past for their melodic death metal inclinations, sounding like Children of Bodom, Kalmah, In Flames and Soilwork. However, they add a twist to the myth by also utilizing techno and dance mix elements. Believe me it works, and it pays off in leaps and bounds with their hyper-sonic sound, reaching far into the void. The eponymous idol hater Ryo reacts with that Alex "WildChild" Laiho tone when he responds in his "Beauty and the Beast" vicious vocal fashion.
With the success of acts like Amaranthe, Blood Stain Child will appeal to many fans, and placate all those opposed. Songs like "Forever Free", "Stargazer", "Electricity", "Moon light wave" are very catchy, festive, and fun, while other tracks like "Unlimited alchemist", "Dedicated to violator", or "Void Dmn-str." (remixed version) are brutal, fast, and menacing.
Verily, and merrily guitarist Ryu and G.S.R. go round and round shredding with that melodic death crunch and electric punishment. Ultimately it is the stargazing keyboard arrangements by Aki' which create the moonlight wave of true blue madness. Just picture what Stratovarius did with "Halcyon days" on their new video, and you will get the idea.
Check out their webpage to get the real life story about this neo-gothic romance. Try to avoid dim deconstruction and seek pleasure in discovering something truly unlimited, unique, and dedicated to violating your fixed opinions for what is mettle. This music is something to mystify your heart, and silence your normal hellish expectations.
