Alonzo is an adult tom, around the age of Rum Tum Tugger. He can be seen with various other adult/teenage toms including Munkustrap, Tumblebrutus, Pouncival, and Mistoffelees, depending on the production. He is one of the "big boys" of the tribe, and protects a lot of the younger kittens and queens. In some productions, he's very fond of Demeter and is the real protector of her in the fight scene with Macavity. In these shows, it is he, not Munkustrap, that is seen with Demeter in the spot light caring for his wounds before Mistoffelees' song. Some fans also see him with Victoria or Cassandra, and occasionally Bombalurina. In the Broadway version, he sported a brown, gold, and black costume, while in other shows like London and Antwerp, he has a white costume with black splotches. |
