Closing dates for the VI Schofield Relay is 1.12.00, please make sure that all names have been submitted by the closing date. Finalists in the Ernie Furbank relays are: Megan McLauchlan, Melissa Moselen, Elise Kidd, Janette Easto,n Kierin Sernig, Kelly Nichols, Dennis Papadimas. The finals will be held on the 22.12.00.
WHAT'S NEWS
Next club meeting will be December 5th in the Clubroom at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
FUNDRAISER Chocolates: We Still have 30 boxes of chocolates to sell to raise money for the trophies at the end of the year presentation, so anyone who is a member of the club, who has not yet picked up their box of chocolates to sell, please see Wendy Dyer. All names of members that have sold the chocolates will be put into a draw for a basket of chocolates.
Christmas stickers: They will also be on sale for $2.00/sheet.
Congratulations to Wendy & John, the market stall that they held last Sunday raised $365.00 for the club.

In order to qualify for the South Coast Development Squads a swimmer must: Swim 2 local carnivals Swim at a South Coast Championship Or Development meet. For any other information with regards to the carnivals please feel free to browse our web page on the internet, or see Tina Southwell for entry cards.Please remember that all entries must be given to Tina before the closing dates other wise they will not be accepted.

University of Wollongong Carnival: We had 10 swimmers attend the University of Wollongong carnival on the 12.11.00. 16 medals were won on the day. Medals: Tara Dyer 1 silver, Wade Dyer winning his first gold & 1 silver 1 bronze, Amanda Neall 2 bronze, Brendan Neall 1 bronze, Michael Neall 1 silver, Jade & Tahlia Oldroyd 1 bronze 1 silver, Anita Sernig 4 gold, Kierin Sernig 1 gold 1 silver
Oak flats Carnival: 22 swimmers attended the Oak Flats carnival on the 19.11.00. Considering the weather, all the children swam well. Lots of medals were won on the day with Ben Carrick winning 5 gold and swimming 4 P.B's, well done Ben, keep up the two stroke! Swimmer of the Month Tom Hughes:

Ellen Wooton attended a Mayoral reception at Wollongong City Council last week honouring local Illawarra Academy of Sport Scholarship holders.
ATTENTION ALL SWIMMERS: Prepare yourselves for the Annual 100 x 100's Swim-a-thon Challenge and BBQ Breakfast at Dapto Pool, Saturday December 30th from 6:00 a.m. This years Swim-a-thon will be a fundraiser for the club. All participants are asked to seek sponsorship for the event, our goal: $50 per swimmer. (Sponsorship sheets available in the ClubRoom). BYO picnic breakfast (sausages, eggs, pancakes, champagne, etc) and come along and join the fun! Breakfast from 8:30a.m.

To all the Tadpoles & Dolphins, when the 100x100's challenge is on you are all participating in it !!! Tadpoles are doing 50x100's and Dolphins 80x100's. It will be run as a fundraiser for the club and you will need to start collecting sponsors for it now.
I would like to congratulate Tahlia Oldroyd when, 2 weeks ago, she swam her first 50m freestyle at club. Well done!

If anyone had of been in Wollongong Mall on Saturday afternoon 25.11.00 around 4.pm they would of seen a certain coach looking absolutely gorgeous in a beautiful soft pink satin bridesmaid dress with her hair up in barrel curls looking like a million dollars.
