FROM THE PRESIDENT
Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and hope to see you all feeling fresh and revitalised in the New Year. I would also like to thank all the people who help us run the club each and every Friday night, without your help it wouldn't run so smoothly.
It has come to my attention that on Friday nights before club, some of the swimmers that have sessions before hand are having their meals in the club house, which is fine, but unfortunately, some of those children are eating their meals and then leaving their used plates and utensils in the sink. Please ensure that you clean up after yourselves, as it is not fair to expect others to clean up after you.

PARALYMPIC EXPERIENCE

As part of a Youth Ambassador Programme, I have been involved in working at Olympic venues for trial events for the Olympic games. I thoroughly enjoyed this work which eventuated into something bigger and better, The Paralympic Games. Along with my new uniform and small group of friends, I traveled up each morning on the 6:00 train to work as a Print Runner in Stadium Australia. The job consisted of running results sheets to around 15 different places in the stadium. One of these places was the Medals Room where I was lucky enough to see some of the worlds finest athletes in their happiest moments. This experience was one of the best that I think I will ever have in my lifetime. To see the best of the best competing against each other and to be standing on the field with athletes (on our break, of couse) and in the crowd of thousands was fantastic, and I will never forget it, and hope to take part in something similar in the future.

REMINDERS: Costumes: The new costumes have arrived. Girls costumes are selling for $48.00 and the boys for $35.00, sizes 6-14. We will have them at club on Friday night.
22.12.00 Dapto Swimming Club Christmas Party. The club will be providing a B.B.Q., so bring along some nibblies, drinks and a desert to share. It is also a good idea to bring your own chairs and fold up tables, as they are very limited. We look forward to seeing you all there. I have heard a rumor that Santa may even turn up for a quick visit to listen to the children's Christmas wishes. 29.12.00
