FROM THE PRESIDENT
Due to the heating of the Dapto pool, our Friday night pointscore will be commencing on Friday the 30th of November. We will be having our registration, BBQ and swimming all on the evening of the 30th.

The official opening of the 'heated' pool will be held on the 2nd of December, in conjunction with the Dapto S.C. Summer Carnival. Programmes for the carnival are available from Julie Glass, or you can find a copy of the programme on the Dapto S.C. web site.

The voting for our club captains was recently held. Congratulations to our two new Club Captains, Ellen Wooton and Clinton Parsons.

Congratulations to Julia Corderoy for her great results at the National Disabled Junior Swimming Championships which were held at Brisbane last week. Julia won a number of medals and also set a new Australian record for the 100m breaststroke.

A reminder that membership is now due. To be able to swim at carnivals, you must be a capitated member.

WHAT'S NEWS
Friday Night Point Score
Council advises the pool heating is progressing well
within the planned timetable! Friday night Point Score commencement date has been set for the 30th of November. Registration has been scheduled from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Friday evening, with a 7:00 start anticipated for swimming events. Council's Pool Grand Opening details will also be revealed shortly.

Dapto Summer Carnival
Carnival Date Confirmed! Our Summer carnival date has been rescheduled for December 2nd. Council has finalised the Pool Grand Opening to coincide with our carnival.

Learn to Swim
Saturday November 24th is the anticipated commencement date for our free learn to swim program. Confirmation of this date will be announced shortly.

Warehouse Bus Trips
A reminder: Dapto Swimming Club warehouse bus trip is set for November 10th. Please contact Tanya Bates if you are interested in supporting this club fundraiser. Tanya needs to confirm numbers ASAP in order to finalise the booking for this event.

SCAT bus trips: These dates have been set for the 20th of October and 17th of November. Confirm your bookings for these excursions by ringing Ingrid Vanderburg on 42281031 or Craig Boles on 42323236.

Chocolates, Chocolates!
Chocolates are a popular fundraiser - a great way to support your club! These small fundraising activities go a long way to help meet the costs of running our Club. Wendy Dyer, our Social Secretary, will be passing out boxes of chocolates for sale soon. All families are encouraged to participate.

Club Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. usually in the Club Room at Dapto Pool. However, due to the construction at the pool, the next Club meeting will be held at Dapto Leagues Club. All are welcome to attend. We would like you to come along and join us, it's a terrific way to become involved in your club! Have your say! Next club meeting: November 6th.

Congratulations to our Winter State Age Team: Clinton Parsons, Ellen Wooton, Samantha Bates & Briarna Southwell! All swimmers recorded PB's for their events with Ellen scooping up a bronze medal in the 15 yrs 50m fly!

2001 National Junior Disabled Games - Brisbane 28 September - 7 October
Congratulations to our Junior National Representative Julia Corderoy. Julia had an outstanding meet gaining several medals, as well as establishing a new Australian record in the 100m breaststroke!
Julia's results are as follows:

50m Back: Silver
50m Breast: Gold
100m Breast: Gold (New Australian Record)
200m Free: 4th place (open event age 20 & under)
