Jayne's Trip To America
I was fortunate enough to be in the North Wollongong surf club touring
team that was picked to o and compete in "Rescue 2002" the
world Surf Lifesaving Championships in Daytona, Florida.
I was lucky enough to win a bronze medal in an event called the Run,
Swim, Run and my club mate Ben Allen also took home a bronze medal in
the same event.
Some of the highlights of my trip would have to be eating all American
food and watching their television (They have over 100 channels) and
visiting such places as the Kennedy Space Center, Wet'n'Wild and going
to Disney world for four days. All in all it was a great experience
and I had a wonderful time.
Jayne Schober.
The club would like to congratulate Jayne on her bronze medal, well
done Jayne and keep up the good work.

Coaches Corner.
Congratulations to all swimmers who swam at Kiama Carnival all swimmers
swam well - there were 9 swimmers and 13 medals.
Good work to Michael Neall, Leanne Kidd and Elise Kidd for qualifying
for the NSW Country Championships.
Swim Fees.
Please remember squad fees are due by the 7th of each month if you are
late you will incur a $5 late fee.
Training Times.
There are a continued amount of swimmers arriving late for training.
This is detrimental to the athletes programme because they are missing
out on valuable warm up time and also causing disruptive to other swimmers
that arrive on time. Please make sure you arrive on time be ready to
start warm - up at the allotted time.
Ginnanderra Carnival:
Warm - up for Canberra Carnival is 11am but please make sure you are
at the AIS by 10:15 because we need to get in and get seats as it is
going to be a big meet. See Tina Southwell before if you need a club-swimming
cap.
Cheers
Toni.
