FROM THE PRESIDENT
Welcome to another Dapto Swimming Club Newsletter as we get closer to the start of our Friday Night pointscore. In this newsletter you will find some important information, including the dates for our pointscore.
Congratulations to all of our state swimmers who competed at the recent NSW State Age Championships, as they all swam very well, achieving almost 100% personal best times. Special mention to Ellen Wooton and Anita Sernig, both winning a number of finalist ribbons, but in particular Ellen, as she won her first NSW state medal. Well done to all of our representatives.
Last week the club held a general meeting to decide on issues that would affect everyone in the club. The club's new fees for the 2000-01 season has been set a $35.00 for a full member (swimmer) and $15.00 for an associate member (non swimming ie parent).
As the club does not have a swimming carnival this year, and a carnival is any clubs main source of income, we will have to do a little more fundraising this year and hopefully everyone will be able to do their share for the club.
Good luck to Faye Rowels and Kieran Sernig at the Olympics, Faye has been working at Homebush for a number of weeks now, while Kieran will be trying to prepare himself for a very hectic two weeks, working as a volunteer worker in the aquatics centre.
Don't forget, Friday Night Pointscore starts in October.

Kaine Love, Anita Sernig & Ellen Wooton competed at the NSW Open Short Course Championships August 5-6. Kaine placed 4th in NSW in the 50m fly. Well done Kaine! Congratulations to Anita, who managed yet another PB (200m back) inspite of a heavy study schedule associated with the upcoming HSC Trials!
