American Diabetes Month: World's Largest Block Party
Saturday, November 6th at 42nd St. - 57th St. on Madison Ave, in New York City.
This was the first event that I produced with the American Diabetes Association.

American Diabetes Month: World’s Largest Block Party, was an event which was supported by New York City media, corporations and several diabetes related organizations, hospitals and service organizations. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited the American Diabetes Association. The event featured 15 blocks of arts & crafts, food, retail, non-profit organizations and corporate booths.

Media Support came from CD101.9; Z100; WKTU; WBLS; KISS FM; HOT 97; CBS-FM; BET; UPI; CBS; NBC; FOX5; ABC; MTV; VH1; THE NEW YORK TIMES; MUSCIAN’S MAGAZINE; BILLBOARD; GOOD TIMES MUSIC PUBLICATION; THE DAILY NEWS; NEW YORK POST; and New York weeklies.

LET’S RE-CAP!!!

In a sentence, American Diabetes Month: World’s Largest Block Party was the mother of all block parties. It was a jammin’ good time which was produced in an innovative, fun, exciting, and cost effective way, designed with New York City style in order to reach every demographic imaginable.

American Diabetes Month: World’s Largest Block Party was clearly a day-long entertainment and media event which brought together, over one million people who live, work, or visit the City. It was a celebration about what is good about New York. And most of all, it raised awareness for the nearly 16 million Americans who are affected by diabetes.

Here I am with NYC Parks Department Commissioner, Henry J. Stern. What a wonderful day for a bike ride! Tour De Cure 2000 took place in beautiful Central Park. This was my last major event with the American Diabetes Association before leaving to go to the American Cancer Society.
