FAQs
Over the years many folks have written with similar questions or problems. This page will address a few of the most frequently asked questions.

Q. I am in a relationship with a JW (or inactive JW), and I am not intersted in becoming a JW. What might happen?

A. A majority of people who leave the Watchtower, or who become inactive, remain mentally bound to the doctrines and beliefs of the group. In other words, these poor folks live with the guilt of being out of harmony with what they believe is God's only true organization and the fear of a horrible destruction at Armegeddon. Beware. Many inactive JWs return to the Organization with renewed determination to be the very best JW possible!

Q. I have an associate (neighbor, co-worker, distant relative) who is currently in an emotional crisis. My associate has become interested in the Watchtower. What can I say or do to help?

A. Many fine folks who became JWs came into the group as a result of seeking answers during some personal crisis. This includes my father. In times of high stress, we humans often seek the spiritual to offer us hope and provide some sense to the chaos of life. JWs capitalize on facet of humaness and quickly offer their system of theology as true hope. People desperate for answers and clinging to the Watchtower are truly hard to reach. Some options include supporting them in their spiritual quest but as a voice of reason. Offering your spiritual hope and making every effort to see they find comfort.

Q. Help! A family member is studying to become a Jehovah's Witness. Where can I find help?

A. A few rules of thumb; never argue with a JW or one who is studying. The Watchtower tells people that all non-JWs belong to Satan's organization and will oppose there association with the Watchtower...so arguing actually drives people deeper into the Organization. Get some information about the Watchtower and the JWs. Visit Freeminds for facts. Pray for guidance and approach the situation carefully.

Q. I recently left the Watchtower and am very confused. Where can I find person-to-person help?

A. Well, everyone is welcome to write and we can discuss specific areas of confusion or concern. There are also many support groups around the world, perhaps clase to you. Freeminds maintains a current listing of groups and contacts.
