The Four P's of
1. Purpose - what is the reason you have decided to make Cyberspace your home? What message do you want give those who
visit your home? What message will your guest take with them when they leave? A summation: what is your reason
for being? To everything there is a purpose and a Website is no exception. 2. Participants - what will be the reason that your guest return? How will they interact with you and/or with others? The whole
is far greater than the sum of its parts and the more parts that one has contributing to the whole the far greater
one's Website will be in the eyes of one's peers. 3. Planning - think before you stink up Cyberspace. What will the colour scheme be? How will your guests get from point
"A" to point "B"? What would it look like if you added a splash of colour over there and maybe
a nice fern in this corner? Maybe everything should be lavender? No, that's so passé. You get the point,
think it through first so your guests don't have to say, "What were you think?" 4. Process - how will you achieve the goals you have set for your Website? What will be your first step, content, graphics,
theme, etc.? Will you need to acquire an HTML editor, a graphics program or will you have to sit right down and
write yourself a lullaby? With every journey there is a point in which one says to one's self, "Go."
And with every journey there must be an ultimate destination, it is up to you to decide on how you will arrive
there. |
