- Barbara's daughter Eleanor (light of God) has an-ever cheerful disposition which is an inspiration to all who meet her. This is Barbara's song for her (written when Elea was only 5 years old), celebrating her smile and positive attitude. Sophia Manusama wrote the music and Reynaldo Iskandar arranged the song on the album "Soular Eclipse" to have a very Parisienne je ne sais quoi quality! Eleanor herself sang the la-la-las for the song backup.
Lamb on the Altar, King on the Throne
- marvelling at the amazing dichotomy of Jesus as our sacrificial lamb and victorious king
- from Ephesians 6: 10-18 and 1 John 4: 4, this is my contemporary rendition of wearing the amour of God to face any (contemporary) adversity!
- reflections on God's word during times of insomnia and times of turbulence in life. Very touching.
Listen to Esther's beautiful, heart-felt rendition from the Favoured Chick album.
- a modern rendition of Proverbs ch4, this is an instruction (to us disciples) to seek wisdom, walk the straight path (avoiding evil influences and foul talk) and to heed advice... and the song includes our response that such advice is valued dearly because it is our fountain of life. This is a contemporary take on very old and wise advice.
- a narrative in the voices of the characters in the parable of the Lost Son and which concludes in a celebration of acceptance for returning 'lost' ones
- Based on Acts 16:14 "One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message." This song may be in the humourous style of a limerick but its message is serious... asking the Lord to open my heart, like He did Lydia's (to a message through Paul) to be responsive to a message delivered through His servant. A good song to sing just before the Sunday sermon.
