In Hindu mythology, the Wendigo is an evil spirit that possesses men. Then it will force them to consume other men's flesh, thus transforming them into monsters.
Native American:
In Native America the Wendigo is a malevolent spirit that flies down from the sky and attacks evil-doers. It will reach down and seize them by the hair and force them to run until their feet catch fire. Then they are then pulled up into the air, and they disappear.

Wendigo is an above average world map monster. Relies on strength and not much magic. Looks like an Headless Gorilla - sort of!! |
