Converting to Subaru (2)

1985 Subaru 1.8 EA82 SOHC Motor (Carbereted) complete as pulled from the car minus the Alt and fan belts. What a mess this looks like. In reality, not nearly as intemidating as it looks. Since we are not required to smog our Trikes, all the crap you see here is removed to end up with a nice clean intake manifold not so different than the VW manifold. continue on.

Well, to make a long story short, I didn't get the chance to try the Subaru in that Trike I built for it. We made a Job move just as I was finishing the Trike. Since I really didn't know what I was doing or how to make this motor work on a Trike, I decided to finish my Trike with a VW motor. I sold the motor to a friend and made our move to the bay area where we decided to sell our Trikes due to the cost to try to store them. Our employeer was going to make us pay full cost for storage for our Trikes.

We didn't stay long in the bay area. I never did care much for the area. So after about a year, we found another position that brought us back to the Sacramento area where I have lived most of my life. As luck would have it, our positon here also provided us with a personal garage. After talking with my boss, he agreed to allow me to use the garage as a shop to build a Trike. Once I got started again, I just couldn't stop.
