Converting to Subaru 3

1985 Subaru 1.8 EA82 SOHC Carbereted Motor. All the crap removed from the intake manifold waiting for the Weber 32/36 progressive Carb. One timeing belt cover off to show and inspect belts. New belts were installed before using this motor. This motor had 149,000 miles on it when I got it. Still running very strong today nearly 4 years later without the need to put a wrench to it. Even running the same plugs that were in it when I got it.. What a great little motor for a Trike.

These motors are just covered with crap we don't need. As you can see, I have removed all the smog garbage from the intake manifold as well as the stock carburetor. Don't even try to use the stock carb, its junk and needs the computer to work properly, trash it or sell it on Ebay, its worth about $35. If you happen to find a Carbed motor, Weber has a Dual bbl 32/36 Carb with the proper manifold adapter to bolt the carb to this manifold, No doubt, that is the best choice for this motor. Its the Carb we have been running on the 1st Subaru conversion I did in 2007 when I built the 1st Subaru Trike that became  Donna's Trike. Was there any doubt, she would claim it as Her's? Maybe later, I'll get one. Oh well, you know how it is, when Mama's Happy, everyone is happy...I'm happy now.
