Beast
Machines Transformers
In early 2000, Beast Machines
toys came into stores around the U.S, and soon afterwards came into other
countries as well. This line of Transformers offers a combination of both
cyber-animal transformers (Maximals) and vehicle transformers (Vehicons).
Both of these sides now battle it out for the future of Cybertron! Many
of the new features include a "spark orb" like the Transmetal
2s, and the use of transparent plastic in the robot eyes to make them
appear as if their eyes were "glowing". Beast Machines Transformers also
offers a new transformers size, even bigger than Optimal
Optimus: Supreme!
One of the downsides to Beast
Machines Transformers, however, is that the toys do not resemble their
TV show counterparts as closely as the original Transformers and the Beast
Warriors toys did. Because of this fact, I have included an extra little
stat in the toy reviews of the Beast Machines that are on the show; it's
entitled "Similiarity to counterpart". This will have a rating by it, depicting
how closely this toy resembles the TV version. Here are the different ratings:
?- Little relation
!- A moderate amount of relation
!!- A good amount of relation
!!!- Looks almost exactly
like the TV counterpart
