CHRIS HOFFMAN
(Human male from Valor: Pilot)
Chris had a rough life growing up. Besides never really knowing his real parents, since he was very young when they left the planet, his foster parents paid little or no attention to him or what he did at all. They were too caught up with the sudden overthrow of their once peaceful homeworld, by the wealthy governor Shadar Koothik. So when Chris entered himself into a speeder race with his brand-new speeder he had recieved for his 12th birthday, they knew nothing of it until the end of the race, which he had won. The odd part to everyone was that his speeder was rolling when he passed the finish line. Repulsor problems? Nope, just bad luck. He wasn't hurt from the crash but his foster parents started paying a lot more attention to him after that.
That crash turned out to become Chris' buggest weakness. Crashing. He is a great pilot but somehow always ends up on the bad side of the vehicles he uses. His ships always come back with scratches, burns, and dents....or sometimes they don't even come back. He has had 3 crashes due to instrument error or problems with parts and 2 other "accidental" crashes where he tricked opposing pilots into flying into walls. Yes he's evil and yes he is still a great pilot.
Chris joined up in the Imperial Academy after he learned of the Death Star. He was fascinated by its sheer size and power. As a matter of fact, he was training to become a Death Star gunner when he heard of the destruction of Alderaan. It was then that he decided to jump ship along with his long lost brother, Brett. Brett had already planned to jump ship a while back and had already made many contacts with the rebellion. So, from there they made their way to Yavin where Chris actually helped devise the plan to attack the Death Star using his previously learned technical knowledge at the academy.
After the destruction of the Death Star, Chris and Brett relocated to Hoth with the rest of the Rebellion. There, he participated in numerous wampa hunts, and once, with the help of Brett and their friend Brad, they killed one that was hiding in the base. Here he also helped adapt the air speeders to the cold to make them become snow-speeders. After the Battle of Hoth, Chris, Brett, Brad, and a few other friends jumped ship from the Rebellion to create a fighter squadron, later called Storm Squadron. They remained good friends with the rebellion but they had other views the Rebellion didn't support.
