LUKE SKYWALKER
(human male from Tatooine)

Like his sister, Leia, Luke was separated from his family at birth by Obi-Wan Kenobi because Anakin Skywalker, his father, had been seduced by the Darth Side and was now Darth Vader. Obi-Wan also took him away from his mother Padme as well. Obi-Wan brought Luke to Owen and Beru Lars, who were moisture farmers on Tatooine. For 18 years, Luke lived as a moisture farmer in this barren planet. He was unaware of his father and of his own past. His uncle and aunt felt that should Luke train to be a Jedi, he would turn to the Dark Side like his father.

While Luke was young, he became an experienced pilot in his T-16 Skyhopper. He was good friends with Biggs Darklighter, Tank, Fixer, Camie, Windy, and Deak. When they decided to join the Academy, however, Luke was left behind and could not go. Some years later, Biggs had come to tell Luke goodbye, as he was going to joing the Alliance. Biggs was afriad of being drafted into service for the Empire. Luke also wanted to join the Alliance, but he knew his uncle and aunt would not let him go.

When Luke was 18, his uncle and aunt bought 2 droids from the Jawa scavengers: R2-D2 and C-3P0. While cleaning R2-D2, Luke partially uncovers a secret hologram calling for an 'Obi-Wan' Kenobi. Because Luke knew Obi-Wan as a 'Ben' Kenobi, he begins to think the droids belong to him. That night, Artoo gets lost in the desert. After Luke finds him, he gets caught into trouble by Tusken Raiders. Obi-Wan comes out and saves Luke's life. Obi-Wan uncovers the full message and finds that it is Princess Leia, asking him for help. Obi-Wan reveals to Luke that his father was a Jedi Knight and gives him his father's lightsaber, which he was instructed to give to him. Obi-Wan also tells Luke that his father was murdered by Darth Vader.

The hologram from Leia tells Obi-Wan to come to Alderaan on urgent business. Obi-Wan asks Luke to come and learn to be a Jedi. Luke refuses. Meanwhile, however, Stormtroopers looking for R2-D2, because he contains the Death Star plans, have murdered Luke's family. After he finds what remains of his home, Luke decides to come with Obi-Wan and be a Jedi.

In Mos Eisely, Luke, the droids, and Obi-Wan get a passage to Alderaan via the Millenium Falcon. Han Solo, the owner of the Falcon, plans to get the money from teh trip to pay off Jabba the Hutt. However, they were unable to find Alderaan because the Death Star had destroyed it. Instead, their ship was captured by the Death Star's tractor beam.

In the Death Star, Obi-Wan went to deactivate the tractor beam while Luke, Han, and Chewbacca went to rescue the princess. The princess is saftely rescued, however Obi-Wan is confronted and killed by Darth Vader after he deactivates the tractor beam. The group manages to escape the Death Star- however, the Millenium Falcon has been set with a tracking beam to reaveal the location of the Rebel Base.

On Yavin IV, the Rebel base, a weakness is found in the Death Star and the Rebel pilots attack the Death Star. With his flying experience, Luke is able to come along, and with the help of Obi-Wan and Han Solo, he is able to destroy the Death Star.

Over the next few years Luke founded the notorious hit-and-run fighter team called Roque Squadron. Luke helped to found the Rebel base on Hoth. On a failed expedition Luke encounters Obi-Wan's spirit, who tells him to visit Yoda, the Jedi master who taught him. During the Battle of Hoth, Luke flew a Snowspeeder alongside Rogue Squadron to stall the Imperial attack during evacuation.

After the battle, Luke flew to Dagobah and accidently encounters Yoda. Yoda teaches Luke about the Force, but is unable to complete his training. With the Force, Luke discovers that his friends are in trouble on Cloud City and he rushes off to meet them. At Cloud City, Luke confronts Darth Vader. In the fight that ensues, Vader cuts off Luke's right hand and reveals to him that he is his father. Luke just barely manages to escape from Vader's clutches.

The next year, Luke constructed his own Lightsaber (with a green blade,) and organized a plan to save Han from Jabba the Hutt. During that time, Prince Xizor of the Black Sun tried to kill Luke, but Vader, who needed Luke to convert to the Dark Side, protected Luke.

The next year, Han was saved from Jabba thanks to Luke and his friends. Luke went to Dagobah to complete his training; however, Yoda was near death. Before dying, Yoda confirms that Darth Vader is indeed Luke's father. Yoda also tells Luke that he had a twin sister. With the aid of the Force, Luke deduces that Leia is his sister.

Luke joined the Strike Team to destroy the shield generator on Endor. However, because his father could sense him, Luke knew that he would jeapordize the mission. Luke went to surrender to Vader, hoping to rescue what was left of Anakin Skywalker. Vader brings Luke before his Emperor on the Death Star II, who tries to convert Luke to the Dark Side. Luke fights Vader again, and this time he destroys Vader's right hand. Luke realizes what he has done and claims- "you've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi. Like my father before me."

In his anger, the Emperor uses the Force to destroy Luke, but Vader, realising the truth, destroyed Palpatine at his own expense. While the Emperor died, Vader had once again become Anakin Skywalker, who was about to die.

Luke fled from the exploding Death Star and cremated Anakin on Endor. After the battle, Luke played a major rule in the construction of the New Republic. Years later, the Emperor reincarnated himself, and almost converted Luke to the Dark Side on the planet Byss. Leia was able to save Luke from corruption just in time and together the killed the emperor. The emperor again reincarnated himself, but again Luke destroyed him.

Luke found that there were many other Force-sensitive beings in the galaxy throughout his adventures. He created a Jedi Academy on the ruins of Yavin IV, where he would train Jedi, just like in the Old Republic. During this time, a Dark Jedi named Exar Kun, living in the temples, almost killed Luke, hut his trainees were able to save him in time.

Luke is the focal point of the Star Wars. He started from being a farm boy dreaming of adventure, to a fully trained Jedi Master.
