T-WING FIGHTER

The T-wing was originally designed to replace the A-wing in its role as an interceptor. Unfortunately for the Rebellion, the end result turned out to be worse.

The T-wing can be summed up to be a poor man's A-wing. Like the A-wing, the T-wing is a very fragile fighter. With shields and hull similar to that of a Z-95 Headhunter's, this craft can not be expected to last long if it is hit by a single devastating blow. Ship's speed is just above that of a TIE Interceptor but slower than the A-wing. Manueverability was another dissapointment as it was slightly less than the afore mentioned A-wing.

Weapons are light with only dual laser cannons. However, the warhead load is equal to that of an X-wing which makes it a good multi-role fighter.

The Rebels only used this fighter for a short time on the frontline and eventually decided to sell it to nuetrals hopeing to gain a profit. The T-wing quickly proliferated across the galaxy ending up in the hands of many pirate factions and nuetral powers. It proved very effective in the hands of the nomadic pirate leader Taarak.
