As sorry as I am to say,
our love is slowly dying more
each day. The time it takes to
nurture our love you can not seem
to find. Everything and everyone
else comes first. From the truck
you have to work on daily to spending
time at your parents. Your friends you
found the time for.

While I patiently stood in the background.
For some reason our time you took for
granted. Maybe, you assumed I would
understand. I need our quality time
together. It's the little things. The
lying on the couch in each others arms.
Holding each other and sharing our lives.
To making love in the middle of the afternoon.
The one on one contact that is so important
to a relationship. My Darling I needed you.

I can not do this anymore. The time I spend
alone is the time I yearn to be in your
arms. But, time for me was not meant to be.
You took our love for granted and instead of
blooming as it should, it is withering
and slowly dying.

I did not ask for much and not much is what
I got in return. I waited for each little
crumb you threw to me and savored it.
But, hence I can no longer savor the crumbs
and want and need more.

This beautiful love that we shared that
had the potential of lasting a lifetime
you have let it die and wither away. The
dollar sign that was so important to you
