"Good things come to those who wait."---Greldum Drobe, captain of the White Rhino's military corps, addressing his young apprentice.
Forever Winter’s Vale
Brief Overview
Situated deep within the Caucavic Mountains, this deep valley is in an almost constant
state of winter. Snow is on the ground for at least nine of the twelve months. The
weather, on the other hand, is very mild in contrast to other areas with this much snowfall.
The temperature ranges from -15 degrees Celsius on it’s coldest days and on the warmest
days it can reach up to 10 or 11 degrees Celsius. The valley is cloaked with a thick forest
of evergreens. These trees seem to thrive and grow tremendously tall.
on the valley floor, a soft flowing, meandering stream, called the Great Mirrored River,
gently makes it’s way towards the north-east. The flood plain of the river has winter grass
and bushes growing in great abundance. The river is hardly ever frozen over although in
the calmer waters, a thick sheet of ice can begin to form in the colder seasons. The river
flows for the length of the valley where it plummets into a gigantic waterfall. This
mysterious water fall is called the Frozen Falls by the locals. Following the river the other
direction, the source of the river can be found. The valley begins to turn into a wide plain
of rocky deposits. The river makes it’s way into a network of tunnels found inside of a
colossal glacier.
The valley is home to a number of different groups of people. Most are friendly and
peaceful people. They are mostly hunters and gatherers but are not nomadic in any way.
They all have established settlements in or around the valley.
