Black and Gold Hokum Karem 8/25/07
On a dreary, and rainy day (varsity race) the Millers competed well and closed the gap on team champion Franklin Communitym by placing 2nd in the 11 team AA division race a mere 25 seconds behind. The duo of Dircksen and Dunlap raced to a 3rd place finish, followed closely by Becker and Marowski in 6th, with Ginebaugh and Soresen placing 14th. Christian Bowers and Ryan Ferguson placed 29th, and Russ Goodwin and Pete Sackers ended 42nd. The times were certainly a reflection of the wet, soggy course as a Friday night storm 1/2" added to the previous early week 3 1/2" of rain to the course. When the rain began lightly it was not much of an issue, but as the varsity race progressed the intensity of the rain became a noticeable factor, as runners slipped-slopped to the finish.
Jake Waterman won the JV 3k+ race with a time of 10:40, followed by Pat Lichtenberger, James Willman,Jessie Geisler, Richie Sellers, Mike Greiner, and Chris Cange rounding out the top 7 scorers.
