Here's everything you need to know about the wizarding world's most popular sport, quidditch!
Equipment:
a.) Two Bludgers b.) One Golden Snitch c.) A broomstick for yourself d.) Two Clubs e.) One Quaffle f.) Levitated Hoops
Positions:
a.) One Seeker to a team: The seeker's job is to find and catch the golden snitch before the other team's seeker. THis is the position that usually gets hurt the most. b.) 2 Beaters: Their job is to knock the bludgers around, blocking their teamates from getting hit. c.) 3 Chasers: The job of the chasers is to throw the quaffle to eachother and try to get it through one of the hoops to score. d.) One Keeper: The keeper tries to block the other team's chasers from scoring with the quaffle.
Scoring:
a.) Each time a quaffle is thrown through a hoop, the team who scored earns 10 points. b.) When the snitch is caught, the team whose seeker caught it gains 150 points.
The Object Of The Game:
The object of the game is to earn as many points as possible before the end of the game, when the snitch is caught. Because the game only ends once the snitch is caught, games have been known to go on for weeks.
