is dedicated to Shantam Dheeraj's (James Rudolph Murley) work, 'Tibetan Pulsing Healing', or
'Tibetan Pulsing Yoga'. I hope you enjoy the story and the
information. For the official website of Tibetan
Pulsing Yoga... Friends... I had a fantastic time in Nepal again, just recently (march 2007). One of Dheeraj's his teachers, Dilgo Kyenytse Rinpochee, died several years ago (1991), and is reborn and recognized again. I had the chance to meet him again, after 18 years! See this site... I have been lucky to be able to participate in this work in the OSHO ashram in Poona, India. Swami Shantam Dheeraj is a master and true healer. I am sorry he has passed away. There is not much to be found about him on the internet, and I would love to dedicate a site only about him and his work. If there are people who have pictures from him and us, the people who attained the work, his tarot cards, well, anything, mail them to me. I have witnessed spaces out of time with him. The first time I met him, it was in the Osho Ashram in Poona. I asked him if I could have the study books that he wrote for the Tibetan Pulsing Healing Training. I was studying at an esoteric school in the Netherlands, the EMIN Foundation, and was interested in the system of Tibetan Pulsing Healing. I approached him at the kitchen area, where I was working. It was as if he took me apart, and we were standing on the peaks of the Himalayas. The silence, freshness, and space were immensely present. He told me it could be harmful to read this book, without practicing the work. I was left stunned. What happened? Next meeting I had with him, was with a friend. She came to India to track down the history of an artifact she had bought on the Amsterdam flee market. It had the size of a brick, but was hollow, made of a metal, and had a picture of Garuda (An ancient Indian mythological bird that hatches full-grown from the egg and thus symbolizes the awakened state of mind.) on one side,
a man's torso, with a snake underbody on the other. On the sides there was a writing, in Tibetan, as we later discovered, and on the top and bottom, the 8 Trigrams of the I Ching. Something was inside the artifact, and when shaken, it was moving. She used it when healing people. She was looking for someone who knew something about Buddhism, in the Poona OSHO Ashram. I told her of my experience with Swami Shantam Dheeraj, and took her to the hotel (Sunderban) he was staying at, at that time. We came to his room, and knocked. Dheeraj opened. For me, looking at the whole situation from aside, it looked they came both from the same space. The same marked faces, the same energy/ atmosphere. She showed the pictures to him (She didn't have the original artifact with her, afraid she couldn't take it back out of India). he asked her to wait, went inside and came back with the picture of his teacher ( Dilgo Kyentse ( Khyentse ) Rinpoche, also the teacher of the Dalai Lama. He didn't tell us his name).
The features of the man on this picture, and the figure on the 'stone' had a amazing resemblance. Dheeraj told us, that if we wanted to know more about the stone, we had to go to Katmandu. Then he turned to me, and told me to keep my hands in a certain way, in a hand mudra, and that, when in Katmandu, I should meditate with this handmudra (the liver), and he (Dilgo Kyentse ( Khyentse ) Rinpoche) would find us.... That we did, and found Dilgo Kyentse ( Khyentse ) Rinpoche. But this is another story...and so ended my second meeting with Dheeraj. or Feedback on ShanT's web site
Links to Tibetan Pulsing sites Tibetan Pulsing evolved through the understandings of Swami Shantam Dheeraj, a wild-at-heart Texan, who developed its various forms primarily through transmission and intuition. As understand it, Dheeraj's youthful discovery that he had an inherent ability to heal was the inspiration to expand his self-directed talent into assisting others to transform their dis-eases into self-empowerment. His background is vast and varied, and for the formulation of this work I believe he has drawn extensively on his life's observations and experiences. For more than twenty years he has been developing and refining this constantly expanding body of work, with the assistance of many gifted individuals. In I976 he received the title "Garuda", which means "The man who lives in heaven", from His Holiness Dujam Rinpoche. In I979 he was given the name "Sifu", "Holder of universal knowledge", by Master Ni Ha Ching, world patriarch of Taoism. He came to Osho in I983 and received the name, "Shantam Dheeraj", "Fragrance of trust".
Dheeraj brought Pulsing to India, to the Osho Commune, in the mid 80's, where he began to pass on his understanding of the universal laws by means of the Osho Tibetan Pulsing Healing training. Many aspects of the work have been expanded into entire schools or faculties within the Tibetan house. These specialized areas include the Taras of the Blue Moon, which focuses on women's issues, traumas, and empowerment; the Hara, which works on fortifying this source of strength, and releasing life-force draining energies held there; and the Gap, which uses insights found in the Bardo in the Tibetan Book of the Dead. These and many other branches of the Tibetan Institute of the Osho Multiversity are in a perpetual state of growth and development. or Feedback on ShanT's web site Links to Tibetan Pulsing sites
The work proceeds from the understanding that every time we've been physically or psychologically hurt a block is produced, and these blocks lodge themselves in the nervous system of the body, creating patterns of behavior, suffering, and identification as a result. By apprehending these blockages through connection with the subtle pulse beats the individual is able to release and discharge these tensions. There is an electrical current running through the system, along the bones, much like commercial electricity runs along wires, and this current becomes disconnected or heavily charged when there is an assault, or perceived assault, to the being. Although we collect and layer these charges throughout our lives, they are created primarily in childhood, when our awareness and defenses are limited. By erasing the old programs we restore a freshness and spontaneity to our responses. Memories remain but the burden of them is gone. Links to Tibetan Pulsing sites
I participated in the 'HARA' and 'Intensive 1 and 2', after which I have assisted in many groups afterwards, and exchanged hundreds of sessions. During the training I had a relationship with Sushma, who was assisting during my training. Dheeraj had given us a special Taoistic technique, to practice together. This was an astonishing experience. Sushma turned into a deity, mother earth incarnated. I felt so small next to her, as if walking next to a 'self-realized being'. When she came down from this space, and us getting in this mundane relationship again, it was like falling of a rock. I couldn't stand it, she left this space, and actually blamed her for this. I couldn't continue with her... We started every day with a kind of chanting. Tibetan Pulsing Healing knows a system of 24 moods, 24 organs, 24 parts in the iris, 24 hand mudra's, 24 sounds. Every day has a mood, and we connected through sound and the hand mudra. Then we would lay on the floor, connecting to the points on the body that were connected to the organ of the day. The pumping was a technique used. Moving the pelvis up and down, would release the sexual energy.
During the
training Dheeraj asked everybody, with a mark in the 'bladder'. an area in the
iris, if they felt or knew they could read people's mind. I put my arm up as
much as I could, making sure I would get Dheeraj's attention. He turned to me,
saying, 'I know about you'. I said I wanted to tell what I saw, when 'reading' someone's
mind, and afterwards people would come to me, to read their mind. One woman
would ask me what to do, after I told to her astonishment, what I saw wrong in
her body, and I could only say; 'practice Tibetan Pulsing Healing!' What else? The course was full of special moments. When I was assisting, I would walk between all the people on the floor, slowly, gently. It felt like everybody was under water. A potent energy, I could only describe as the water from the womb. The work is vitalizing and harmonizing. It is one of the most amazing kind of works I ever did.
Dheeraj had given us a special Taoistic technique, to practice together. This was an astonishing experience. I had to put my finger inside her vagina to the inside of her pubic bone. There I had to connect to 'the pulse', while stimulating her clitoris gently with my tongue, also feeling 'the Pulse'. The thing was not to get into the sexual act, but stay there, pulling and pushing with the energy at my fingers inside and my tongue outside. Just making little movement to stay sexually aroused. Just being there for as long as the music from the tape lasted, it seemed a gate opened in front of my eyes, looking into the creation of the universe inside Sushma. It was such an immense experience, blowing me away, leaving me with the experience. Wow! One of the most amazing stories I heard from Dheeraj, was the story of his relationship with Dilgo Khyentse Rinpochee. As Dilgo Khyentse Rinpochee is a Tantric Buddhist, he also got involved with women. being married didn't stop him to get involved with other females. He had one problem. Tibetan women are very jealous, and to prevent the atmosphere being disturbed by angry and jealous women, he would ask Dheeraj to get him western women. And so Dheeraj arranged them for Dilgo Khyentse Rinpochee...
One question I have still, one I will not be able to ask Dheeraj anymore. During one of the sessions, I had an image of an Aries, standing on a cliff next to a waterfall. He came from behind some bushes, and had blue eyes, and such a majestic and intelligent orange glow about him. It made such an impression on me, that it will keep to be a question to me until I die. I hope someone can answer me one day, someone who has been there, to tell me what it means. For me, I feel, I met an entity or energy, on a higher level, so pure, and with so much attention. But why did I meet it? After the training I went with Sushma to Dharmsala. I wanted to see if the Tibetan's would recognize any of the work, and read the monk's eyes, hoping to find a Tulku, with a golden Iris... About this trip, On this page... When I came back from Poona, to the Netherlands, I felt 'blissed out'. As if all my chakra's were completely in balance, as I saw the Jin-Jang symbol all over my body. I felt I could heal people from cancer, and all kind of other diseases. But back at home, the bills needed to be paid, and practicing went lesser important...
Pyramids Poona Ashram, where the trainings were held. Thank you, Dheeraj, for this present you gave me, the witnessing of miracles, for giving me the self assurance, your friendship, this knowledge and experience, and outrageous mystical richness. Namaste! ShanT or Feedback on ShanT's web site I took some pictures from other websites, like the ones below. I didn't ask if I could use them, but please let me know if you have any problem with this, or let me know if you don't! Namaste. More links
