Egypt,
Hurghada New Dino Diving day 1
|
Today getting up early to get to the boat. It's a smaller boat this time with not that many divers. The equipment is better (new) and there are 3 dive masters on board. We head for the ocean. The weather is a bit cloudy and there is a strong wind but nothing to worry about.

We get prepared and move down to see some clown fishes, Lionfish, a huge Moreno and some other exotic life forms. Much more than last time. We swim for about 50 minutes on 20 meters depth and get up again. Great food we get and the people are nice. We move for the next location and get back in our suits. It's diving time again. This time we see wreckage and a huge Moreno again. The dive master is padding it like a dog, but the motherfucker is a predator of about two and a half meters long and doesn't look too friendly. I don't like to turn my back to this doggie! It's fun to tease the clown fishes by getting to close to their 'home' and a barracuda is slowly passing by, looking with a curiosity at us strange fish. It's lovely under water and now I am wearing a big wet suit, the cold doesn't get to me.

We get out and prepare to leave. The weather has roughened and while we move home the boat is rocking like crazy. So much so the crew gets running to get water out of the boat, moving pumps, and move all the air bottles to one side.

We are asked to sit on one side too. Tischa is sick, as one other passenger. One member of the crew is praying. Everybody is scared or at least seriously worried. A feel calm, and sit next to Tischa who is shaking. Somehow we make it.

I fell asleep, and when we wake up we are at the harbor. Lovely Egyptian technology! And a great captain. Tischa feels better the moment we get ashore, but I get a nauseous feeling getting in this old mini-van again, shaking and rattling. Well, we survived. It's cold and windy and we get to a restaurant. Time to go sleep early!
