The Good |
ABC's looked
like it was successfully
rebuilding itself, at least last fall. On the upside, a number of
series
showed increased in viewership, unlike last season, when it was just
"My
Wife & Kids." "8 Simple Rules" proved to be a solid new comedy, and
returning series "According To Jim" and "George Lopez" earned their
stripes
in their junior seasons. Both "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette"
changed
the Wednesday landscape and "Americas Funniest Videos" successfully
rebuilt
a dead-hour for the net. |
The Bad |
None of its new
dramas did anything,
aging drama "The Practice" inched closer to cancellation, and hyped
"Alias"
failed to spark any ratings. Monday was a disaster, a host of reality
series
just did not work, and late in the season, even Tuesday and Wednesday
looked
to be drowning. |
Next Season |
The alphabet is
going back to it's
roots: sitcoms. But that isn't the problem. The problem would be in the
drama department. |
