SUMMARY
Chase and August investigate the murders of two men: one an affluent, politically-connected businessman, and the other a homeless man. They discover that the homeless victim was once a successful businessman who was going to testify against infamous criminal Bobby Cole. But the man was beaten so badly he forgot his identity and ended up on the street. The detectives race to uncover Cole's secret, before his hitman makes them the next victims.

TRIVIA
Kendra does not appear in this episode.
Just before Captain Jensen gives the press conference on TV, an announcer gives his first name as Robert.
An apparent inside-joke can be spotted in the police station. On the Detective Availability whiteboard, several names are written. Directly above "Brooks" is "Avery," forming the name Avery Brooks, who starred in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
