Ares sets a trap for Xena aimed at returning her to her former life as a ruthless warrior.

In an attempt to win Xena back to lead his army, Ares masterminds a plot involving her estranged father Atrius.
SEASON TWO
Intimate Stranger:
With the help of Ares in the Underworld, Callisto switches bodies with Xena and returns her to the living.
Ten Little Warlords:
When Ares' sword is stolen and he looses his godhood, Xena, still trapped in Callisto's body, must help Ares restore his immortality before someone else claims his sword and becomes the new God of War.
The Xena Scrolls:
In 1940, the search for the Xena Scrolls is underway but in the process, Ares is released from his ancient tomb and Mel, the descendent of Xena, must put him back where he belongs.
SEASON THREE
The Furies:
Ares uses the Furies to drive Xena insane in hopes that she would be easier to control.

Xena enlists the help of four notorious criminals to go up against Ares who plans to control Greece by giving a very powerful invention to his new protégé.
The Deliverer:
Ares tries to warn Xena about the threat of the 'One God' but when Xena doesn't believe him, the results are devastating to both Gabrielle and the world.
The Quill is Mightier...:
Ares looses his immortality when Aphrodite casts a spell on Gabrielle's scroll, giving her the power to make whatever she writes a reality.
The Bitter Suite:
Ares encourages Xena to embrace the hate she has for Gabrielle, causing Xena and Gabrielle to take a wild ride through the dream world of Illusia.
Forget Me Not:
Images of Ares taunt Gabrielle as she travels through the world of her memories.
Sacrifice Part I:
Ares offers to help Xena defeat Callisto and Hope but soon finds something out about the one who he is fighting.
Sacrifice Part II:
Ares sides with Hope and Dahak against Xena, intending to make sure that nothing will stop Dahak from entering the world.

Deja Vu All Over Again:
In the 20th century, Ares offers Harry, a descendent of Xena's, the chance to rule by his side when the new millennium begins.

Chakram:
When Xena looses her darkside, Ares decides to us her to claim the Chakram of Light, a weapon that only a pure soul can touch without being destroyed.
Succession:
Ares merges Xena and Gabrielle into the same body and forces them to fight Mavican, Ares' potential right hand.
Seeds of Faith:
Eli takes on Ares in an effort to overthrow the gods.
God Fearing Child:
Ares tries to tell Xena how he really feels about her.
Eternal Bonds:
Ares comes to Xena with a very interesting offer in exchange for his protection against the other gods.
Amphipolis Under Siege:
In an attempt to save her child and her village, Xena gives herself to Ares realizing it to be the only way.
Looking Death in the Eye:
Ares tries to stop Xena from killing herself but fails and his true feelings for her are revealed.
Livia:
Ares is stunned to see Xena after 25 years on ice and when she goes in search of her child, she makes a startling discovery.
Eve:
Angry with Xena for not giving him what he wants, Ares attempts to use her daughter, who is now a ruthless murderer, to kill Xena.
Motherhood:
When Xena is given the power to kill gods, Ares tells Xena how he feels about her and when Gabrielle and her daughter die, he does something never thought possible from the God of War.
SEASON SIX
Coming Home
Fed up with being mortal, Ares enlists the help of Xena in an attempt to restore his godhood unaware that the Furies are conspiring against him.
Old Ares Had A Farm
To protect Ares from a gang of revenge-seeking warlords, Xena takes him to her childhood home and disguises him as a farmer.
The God You Know
When Xena goes to Rome to kill the now immortal Roman Emporer Caligula, Ares stops her and she discovers that if she kills Caligula, Aphrodite dies with him.
You Are There
A news reporter follows Xena around and tries to figure out why Xena wants to return godhood to Ares and Aphrodite.
Path of Vengeance
When Ares atempts to start a war between the Amazons and the Romans in order to gain the worshipers he had lost as a mortal, Eve gets in the way and Xena must rescue her before she is killed.
Soul Possession
The discovery of an ancient scroll in the 21rst century that indicates Xena married Ares leads to a highly charged press briefing attended by the modern-day reincarnations of Xena, Gabrielle and Joxer.
