Infernalis Unit colour scheme:

Well, Iīm sorry but Iīve only managed to find one good image of a marine, canīt find any good pics of scouts īn stuff :/. Iīll update this in about a week with how to paint your Infernalis Scouts and vehicles. Remember: your grunts arenīt supposed to look like `Eavy Metal™ material, I take it that they are the bulk of your army and therefor it takes too fucking long time to sit and drybrush every single model. Thatīs why I use the colour scheme described below:

NOTE! All boltgun metal painted parts are to be inked with black ink/armour wash thinned out with a bit of water!

This is how a Caligatus Marine uniform should look like (I assume you use citadel acryllic paints):

Power Armour: Black
Eyes: Optional (preferably red)
Shoulderpads: Black
Shoulderpad rims: Red
Kneepads: Red shaded with a darker shade of red (ex. scab red)
PowerArmour details: Boltgunmetal
Chest Eagle: Boltgunmetal

This is the "blueprint" for your normal grunt

One of my finished Infernalis Marines,
looking mean, eh? ;)

All other details on the model (like skulls and stuff like that) are to be painted boltgun metal. The eyecolour is optional (gives a bit of variation to yer grunts :). The backpack is also black with boltgun metal details. A note here: If you manage to get your hands on the colour "Tekron bronze" which is a Warzone acryllic colour (warzone is another miniature conflict game) you should dry brush the "main upper plate" of the backpack with it (it gives a great looking rusty kinda look), if you canīt find any then "beaten copper" will have to do. The bolter casing is black, the rear, the clip and the "clip input" are boltgunmetal while the handle is red.

And some general painting tips:

The most important thing to start you off is: Citadel brushes SUCK!!!. Donīt waste your money on citadel brushes! All their brushmodels are too thick and they are also low quality. Pay 3$ extra and get a brush that is 1st of all much finer and thinner and 2nd of all about ten times more long-lived (it depends of course on the brand). Donīt buy your brushes at the hobby store, go to an art-accessories supplier and get your brushes there.
Stay away from the Citadel-superglue as it will strangle your wallet! Go to some hardware-shop and get "more (glue) for less (money) ;). I use a cheap "noname" superglue that cost me around 3$ and I got about three-times more!
Always, always, always glue your unpainted and unprimed model parts to party sticks or something like that. It makes priming and painting much easier. Why? Because first of all: you donīt have to actually touch the painted parts of the different parts and you are spared from the "colour-flaking" that happens when you touch the model. I personally use "cocktail swords" for this purpose, they are plastic which makes them easier to cut to the right length and the glue also sticks better to the plastic which unlike from the tree sticks doesnīt suck the glue into itīs fibres. 2nd of all it makes priming much easier as you get perfect coverage of the part and therefor get more out of each spray.
NEVER EVER follow the advice that says "always assemble your models before painting". I say NO. Why? Because the "perfect coverage" thingie applies here aswell. You wonīt acidentally paint surrounding parts as you try to paint some hard to reach area.
