Puckpixie

If you haven't seen the magenta-haired (although for the time being it is tangerine) goth siren fomerly of Reunion Arena section 228, you've probably heard her howling the praises of the Stars and screeching disparaging obscenities at the opposition at Reunion Arena from her STH seat of eight years.

Touted as the "one in 17,001" by her favorite drunks, Puckpixie is a longtime Stars addict, brainwashed to the point of becoming the co-authoress and graphics chica of this page. Her favorite teams are, of course, the Dallas Stars and Texas Tornado, followed by the Colorado Avalanche and the Finnish League team Jokerit. And who couldn't love those young guns, the Grizzlies? Now that she is in Houston, she is working up a healthy alligance to the Aeros.

Pixie, also know as "that really loud girl," "Bunny," "Tigerlily," "Scarlett," sometimes "Mistress," Elzbiet, commonly "Red" to the mnemoically challenged, and mostly Leesie, is a proud Texas native, born and raised in Richardson, Texas. She is nineteen, an Aries, and involved in the sense that she is patiently waiting for a chance to have a torrid love affair with Grant Marshall.

She graduated from the Hockaday School for Girls where she received a quality education, an incessant deluge of incapacitating stress, and the pleasure of wearing a green uniform that made her look like a Japanese prostitute.

Puckpixie's SAT score was 1570. She thinks she is really damn smart. Miss Pixie is attending Rice University as they were gracious enough to accept her and resides in the best residential college of them all: Lovett. This semester she is taking American Lit, Medieval Women Authors, Women in Anicent Greece and Rome, and Life Drawing. She was in Economics, but that lasted, like, a week. She's not so keen on this "numbers" and basic "math" stuff. She isnt keen on profs that dont speak English either, really. Additionally, Pixie speaks Spanish as well as some limited Finnish. She also can read Attic Greek. She plans to pursue a double major in English and Art as well as dabble in the disciplines of Linguistics and Classics. She will incorporate all this useless education into her plan to cripple the world under her supreme domination.

When Pixie is not watching the Stars, Brahmas, Tornado, or hockey teams of other metropolises, she is usually doing something lame and pathetic for the simple reason that it is vaguely related to hockey. On the occasion that she wishes to do something non-hockey oriented she listens to music, paints, reads, belly dances, drools over vintage cars she cannot afford, and plays bass very badly. She also likes being an art nazi and taking over all artistic projects going on at Rice be they costumes and sets for musicals or decorations and posters for parties. Her favorite music is that of the fabulously talented Mr. Reznor of Nine Inch Nails or the Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, and Soundgarden. Other rock staples from her childhood include Metallica, Guns and Roses, Van Halen, AC/DC, and White Zombie, as well as old-school gothic bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and Bauhaus. She is also very fond of local gothic emsemble Gropius. She is, of course, not too goth not to love Southern icons like ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

You are probably not terribly interested to know that her favorite shows are the X-files, MST3K, Kids in the Hall, and the Crocodile Hunter (notice two of the four aren't on anymore and the first one has gotten totally lame), her favorite movies are Gone With the Wind, Gross Pointe Blank, Elizabeth, and Heathers, her favorite food is cajun or Thai cuisine, and her favorite colors is scarlet.

Despite her neon hair, high decible voice (which has proven to be louder than a standard car horn) and trademark vitrolic sarcasm, Pixie is quite amiable. However, she is painfully shy in person, so treat her kindly. You can make her day and email her at new address:valkyrie@rice.edu.
