9:00 am |
Begin your tour at the
Owl
Post Service Outpost, at the border of Godric's Hollow and Muggle Land,
to check on any virtual owls you might have received. |
9:15 am |
Things aren't going so well. Why
not catch a ride out of town on the Knight
Bus*? To flag it down, just hold your wand out over your head. Then
hop on board for a fast and bumpy tour of London and the surrounding countryside. |
10:30 am |
Hear what Cornelius Fudge has to
say about affairs at the Ministry
of Magic. |
11:15 am |
Pass through the Leaky
Cauldron*, which temporarily becomes Harry's home base. Then treat
yourself to a delicious Sundae at Florean
Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor* in Diagon Alley. |
11:30 am |
Complete your shopping in Diagon
Alley with a stop at the Magical
Menagerie to purchase a pet of your own. You might consider the resident
cat, Crookshanks, or at least a model of him. |
11:45 am |
Pass through the barrier leading
to Gate 9 3/4 at King's Cross Station*
and take the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts. Keep your eyes open for sleeping
professors and roving dementors. |
12:45 pm |
You've missed the Sorting Ceremony,
but you can still feast with your friends in the Great
Hall. You may want some chocolate for dessert to calm the dementor
chills. |
1:30 pm |
Attend Professor Lupin's Defense
Against the Dark Arts Class*, for which you have already pre-registered
and paid, of course. Or if you prefer, Hagrid can teach you all about Hippogriff
training at the Magical
Creatures Theater*. |
2:30 pm |
Climb to the top of Slytherin ("North")
Tower to attend Professor Trelawney's Divination
Class*. She'll probably be expecting you, thanks to a sly bit of "fortune
telling": your name "magically" appears on the list of students who've
pre-registered and paid the class fee. |
3:30 pm |
Thoughts of Sirius Black fill your
head. Make a trip to Azkaban Prison
to relive his nightmarish imprisonment and escape. |
4:30 pm |
Afterwards, make a pit stop at the
Chocolate
Shoppe for an edible remedy. |
5:00 pm |
Then sneak off to Honeydukes*
to replenish your dwindling candy supplies. |
5:30 pm |
While in Hogsmeade, walk down High
Street and stop at Zonko's Joke Shop
as Fred and George always do. Then have your fortune read at the Divination
Den . Perhaps your fortune teller will make a prediction as dramatic
as Trelawney's. |
6:30 pm |
Have dinner at the
Three
Broomsticks*. You'll want to order some butterbeer, as Harry, Ron,
and Hermione do. You should find the climate inside most entertaining. |
7:30 pm |
Lose yourself in a round of Crazy
Quidditch, where you can try, as Harry does, to forget about Sirius
Black for a moment. Or take a spin on the Wheel
of Fortune to see if its success at divination is any better than Professor
Trelawney's. |
8:30 pm |
Take the Secret
Tunnel* to the Shrieking
Shack*, where you'll find out a little more about Professor Lupin's
fear of the moon. But be careful! You might just encounter that mysterious
and undoubtedly dangerous escaped convict, Sirius Black, himself. |
9:45 pm |
Save Buckbeak by riding him to freedom
on the Magical Creatures Carousel*. |
10:30 pm |
Neither Sirius nor Buckbeak were
as dangerous as you were led to believe, and now, thanks to Harry and friends,
they're both free. To commemorate their freedom, stop at Eyelops
Owl Emporium to select a tiny plush owl in need of a safe haven. As
you exit the park with him on your shoulder, you can select a name that
suits him -- Pigwidgeon, perhaps? |
